James W. Sipe, PhD, LP, is a Licensed Psychologist, executive coach, and Senior Consultant with Personnel Decisions International (PDI) Ninth House, the premier global leadership solutions company, headquartered in Minneapolis. He has extensive experience in leadership development, executive coaching, teamwork, and organization effectiveness. He has created a variety of educational materials and has conducted numerous consultations, seminars, and retreats for public and private sector organizations nationwide. James combines his background as an entrepreneur with wide-ranging expertise in human behavior and organization systems to provide his clients with a unique and practical development point of view.

James earned a masters degree in public health and a PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota. He has served on the faculties of the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas’ Center for Business Excellence.

Noteworthy among Dr. Sipe’s professional accomplishments include standing-in for former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno at a Justice Department conference, aiding in the Oklahoma City bombing relief effort, and presenting an anger management workshop at a conference in Detroit attended by 5000 ninth graders.

James is the spouse of Dawne Starkey and the father of Rachel Irene and Christopher James.

His mission is “to improve the quality of life on earth by helping people in leadership roles worldwide practice and promote the principles of Servant Leadership.”

Don M. Frick, PhD, is a principal of Don Frick & Associates, as well as a university professor, writer, speaker, consultant, and media producer. He worked at the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership in Indianapolis for five years.

In 2004, Berrett-Koehler Publishers released Don’s book Robert K. Greenleaf:  A Life of Servant Leadership, the authorized biography of the man who first coined the phrase “Servant-Leader.” He is also co-editor with Larry C. Spears of On Becoming a Servant-Leader and contributed chapters to the books Reflections on Leadership and Insights on Leadership.

Dr. Frick holds a B.S. in Education from Eastern Illinois University, a Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, and a Ph.D. in Leadership and Organizational Studies at The Union Institute and University in Cincinnati.

In his illustrious – and unusual – career he has served as a museum of art department director, writer, producer and performer of television and radio programs. He has written and/or produced over two-hundred video and television scripts for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to the Indianapolis Museum of Art to The History Channel. His award-winning syndicated radio series about Indiana history called The Nineteenth State is represented in the permanent collection of the Museum of Radio and Television.

Don’s mission is “to spread the knowledge, tools, and stories of Servant Leadership so people can choose to lead more integrated lives, our workplaces and communities can become more productive and growth-filled environments, and all can become engaged as servants in society.”
